Client Details

Ultrabeam Hydrographic is a new Company incorporated by Andy McLeay & Gabriel Walton both-highly experienced in the hydrographic surveying industry. They offer high-definition marine survey and asset inspection backed by a 30 year history in coastal geophysics and provide an unparallelled level of detail and precision using highly innovative survey tools and techniques.

Andy & Gabriel were keen to find a competitive edge for their new business and take the ability offered by Ultrabeam to another level.

Key Issues

They had already developed a specialist survey methodology to create industry leading data sets in terms of resolution and accuracy for 3D asset surveying, but they needed a way of combining this with a sea-worthy inspection platform that could be tightly controlled, whilst also overcoming some of the safety risks associated with asset surveying. Given that the vessel they designed is believed to be the first of its kind with no existing model to base its design upon

This inherent Alfa determination to find a solution and “make things work” proved invaluable and Ultrabeam took possession of a vessel perfect for their needs and had a remote control aluminium vessel to gather the critical data to deliver a dynamic mulyi-award winning service of immense value to the marine survey sector.
